Karaoke Night brings neighbors from Whitney and across Hill County together every single week to sing, laugh, and cheer each other on. It is free, family friendly, and hosted by the MBA Foundation, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit that creates affordable community events for rural Texas families.
For many families in rural Hill County, a fun night out usually means a long drive to Waco or the Dallas and Fort Worth area and a big city price tag. Thursday Karaoke Night changes that. It gives the community a relaxed place to unwind in the middle of the week, right here on Lake Whitney.
You do not need a great voice to have a great time. Some guests step up to the mic every week, some sing once a season, and plenty come just to listen and cheer. However you join in, you will find a friendly room full of neighbors who are happy you came.
First-timers get the loudest applause. Karaoke Night is built on encouragement, not performance, so every voice and every level of confidence is welcome on the mic.
Grab a friend, a coworker, or the whole table. Singing together is the easiest way to break the ice.
There is no pressure to sing. Cheering from your seat is part of the fun, and the crowd is half the show.
